In Between: The Art Project of Expo 2000

At EXPO 2000, Germany's first World Exposition, a diverse group of some twenty artists is participating in an innovative outdoor art project entitled In Between. Their works appear not together as a single exhibition, but in scattered locations throughout the extensive grounds of EXPO 2000. The participating artists engage with questions surrounding the role of art in public spaces, the means by which art can assert itself in the midst of distraction, and even the future of art and the art of the future. Each artist grappled with these issues, and the intriguing answers fill the pages of this inviting volume.
EXPO 2000 takes place from 1 June to 31 October 2000.
