Human Development in South Asia 2003: The Employment Challenge
Mahhub ul Haq
This report analyzes the issue of employment from the perspective of people, keeping with the tradition of the centre's previous reports. This Report has been analtically criticized under the view of globalisation and economic growth in the degrading world economy. South Asia has been neither adequate nor equitable enough to reduce the region's huge backlog of about half a billion people in poverty due to inadequate policy attention to these issues. This Report presents an in-depth explication of the policy frameworks that should be accountable for poverty, illiteracy, rights practiced by women and children and accumalation of food. It reveals the exposed identity of the government of South East Asia that should explicate the strategic information that is revealed by this report.
